I took this shot on Christmas day, I was driving up into the national park and was briefly struck by the beauty and solitude of this lonesome cabin on a hill in the mountains. The home, to me, represents the warmth and tenderness in a cold and most unforgiving environment. With temperatures that day hovering between 0 to10 degrees and constant wind, frigid and bleak, the cabin stood out as a signal of fervor from the chilling terrain surrounding it.
