After a full day of shooting wildlife and the foliage of fall in Colorado, we found ourselves exhausted, on top of a mountain overlook in Vail. We watched the setting sun illuminate everything around us as we captured images of the aspens deep within the forest. As the light faded from the leaves we decided to make our way down the mountain. As we emerged from the forest we found a path to take. As the path continued we looked to our right to see an immense cloud flooded with light, covering the landscape in a dreamy warm hue. The beautiful colors we saw shocked us and ended up being the best capture of the day.
